Is Jesus a descendant of Solomon or Nathan?

Question:
Did Jesus descend from Solomon (Matthew 1:6) or from Nathan (Luke 3:31), both of whom are sons of David?
Answer:
Jesus was a descendant of both Solomon and Nathan, because Joseph descended from David through Solomon, and Mary descended from David through Nathan.
