Question:
My laptop turns on but will not resume from hibernation. Nothing appears on the screen.
Answer:
Buy a Macbook. Or, try this:
Take a flashlight and shine it on the screen when you turn your computer on. Do you see anything? If you can, then your laptop works but your backlight is burned out. You?ll need to take it to a computer repair place to get that fixed.
Another solution might be to try removing your laptop hard drive and connecting it to your desktop. This can only be done if your laptop uses SATA. If you can resume from hibernate on your desktop, you can then disable hibernate on your desktop, and then when you put your hard drive back in your laptop it should work fine because hibernate is disabled (many laptops have issues with hibernation). However, only try this solution if you know what you?re doing. If you don?t know how to remove your laptop hard drive properly, then don?t attempt doing so or you might accidentally damage your laptop.
